With A Jimmmitude: MSU-Duke, Wednesday NFL

Michigan State’s first win at Duke

Early in the first half Duke appeared to be in control and it seemed like Michigan State would fall in somewhat predictable fashion. Good thing two halves are played, because things changed in the second half. The Spartans were able to pull away and hold a double-digit lead for the majority of the second half. The 75-69 win for Michigan State was their first ever at Duke.

Michigan State deserves a ton of praise for beating Duke in Durham. A game this early in the season against this type of opponent seems like one the Spartans usually drop. Breaking that pattern and defeating one of the better teams in college basketball should point in the direction of good things to come for Michigan State this season.

Steelers-Ravens on Wednesday afternoon

This game is going to be absolutely wild for better or worse. A 3:40 P.M. kickoff for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens on a Wednesday is going to be weird. Perhaps weird enough that a heavily favored Steelers team may encounter an obstacle or two.

The Ravens are definitely the underdog considering how many players that will not be active including Lamar Jackson. Robert Griffin III will be Baltimore’s starter and that is a clear drop-off in quality of starter. The Ravens defense is going to miss a considerable amount of players due to injuries and ending up on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

All signs are pointing towards a clear Steelers victory, but stranger things have happened. The Ravens are still a good team and they will certainly be up for this game. The only question is whether the talent gap in this specific game will be too large for them to make up.
