Mike Clevinger issues statement

Cleveland Baseball Club starting pitcher Mike Clevinger has issued a statement in regards to what transpired this past weekend.

It took a little while, but Mike Clevinger has issued a statement about his actions that took place this past weekend in Chicago.

Clevinger mentions trust, something that he made a point of before the season started.

“Having that trust in your teammates is a big thing. It’s a big thing on the field. If you feel your teammate doesn’t trust you off the field, how are you going to feel like he trusts you when you get between the lines?”

Clevinger appears to have realized mistake and is taking responsibility for his actions. His teammate and fellow protocol violator Zach Plesac has already apologized for his actions.

Whether these statements are genuine or just lip service will remain to be seen. Anyone can say they are sorry and claim responsibility for their actions after they happen. It is how the act moving forward that truly matters.
