The Cleveland Baseball Club pitcher has been placed on the injured list with a thumb fracture.
The Cleveland Baseball will be without Zach Plesac for some time after the Cleveland pitcher fractured his thumb following his last start. Plesac injured his thumb after tearing off his shirt and it being caught on his chair.
Cleveland’s pitching staff has been in a state of transition as of late and the injury to Zach Plesac isn’t helping things. The team needs to figure out who will be a good chunk of their upcoming games. Luckily Wednesday’s starter has already been determined as they will call up and subsequently option Triston McKenzie.
Zach Plesac has struggled a bit this season as he has a 4.14 ERA, 1.023 WHIP, and a career-low 5.8 K/9 in 58.2 innings this season. Hopefully Plesac will not be out for too long and can capture some of the success he enjoyed in previous seasons.
