Zach Plesac does not need surgery
The Cleveland Baseball Club starting pitcher will not require surgery on his fractured thumb.
There is some good news for Zach Plesac and the Cleveland Baseball Club. Plesac will not need surgery on his right thumb.
Zach Plesac suffered a non-displaced fracture on his right thumb after aggressively ripping off his shirt following his previous start. The injury led to Plesac being placed on the injured list Tuesday. While everything is in wait and see mode, the fact that he does not need surgery is a bullet that can be classified as dodged.
