Triston McKenzie placed on IL, Logan Allen recalled

The Cleveland Baseball Club has placed pitcher Triston McKenzie on the injured list while recalling Logan Allen from Triple-A.

After back-to-back spectacular performances Triston McKenzie is landing on the injured list with right shoulder fatigue. The move is retroactive to Sunday.

In his place Cleveland has recalled Logan Allen from Triple-A. Allen has not enjoyed the same success as McKenzie as he has a 9.13 ERA and 1.809 WHIP in seven starts this season. The minors were not any kinder to the 24-year old as those numbers were 7.95 and 1.849 respectively.

Hopefully McKenzie’s stay on the IL is short and can return to the team soon. The recent uptick in performance from the young starter has been a great step in his development as a prospect and a possible sign of things to come in the future.
