Mikko Lehtonen suspended, placed on waivers
The defenseman has been suspended by the Columbus Blue Jackets after failing to report to the Cleveland Monsters.
Apparently Mikko Lehtonen did not have any interest in playing in Cleveland. After being assigned to the Monsters by the Blue Jackets Sunday and did not report to the team per Aaron Portzline. The Blue Jackets have suspended Lehtonen and placed him on unconditional waivers.

Portzline also added that if Mikko Lehtonen clears unconditional waivers his contract will be terminated.
