Mikko Lehtonen clears waivers, contract terminated
The contract of defenseman Mikko Lehtonen has been terminated after clearing waivers following his failure to report to Cleveland.
When the Columbus Blue Jackets made some roster moves over the weekend there was one player who did not report to the Cleveland Monsters, Mikko Lehtonen. Lehtonen was subsequently suspended and placed on waivers. Now that the defenseman has cleared waivers his contract has been terminated and he will play in Europe per Aaron Portzline.
