Jose Ramirez AL Player of the Week
Jose Ramirez has been named the first American League Player of the Week for the 2022 MLB season. The Cleveland Guardians third baseman is joined by Chicago Cubs rookie Seiya Suzuki as his National League counterpart.
Jose Ramirez leads all of baseball in hits (16), RBI (15), and total bases (31) while leading the American League in triples (1). Ramirez‘ slash line in the first nine games of the season is .457/.500/.886 with a ridiculous OPS of 1.386 and a 298 WRC+. It is the start of what appears to be another MVP candidate season for Ramirez, maybe this time he takes home the elusive hardware.
