Denzel Ward, Browns agree to extension
The Cleveland Browns have done it again, this time by signing cornerback Denzel Ward to a five-year contract extension. Ward’s deal is worth just over $100 million with $71+ million guaranteed.
Denzel Ward has been one of the best cornerbacks in the league since being drafted by the Browns in 2018. Ward’s 53.5% completion percentage allowed is third-lowest just behind Stephon Gilmore and Xavien Howard.
Cleveland is locking up key foundational pieces to ensure that they remain in town during what should be their contention window. Not too bad for the 18th ranked NFL GM now is it?
