Jamie Gillan placed on reserve/COVID-19 list

Cleveland Browns punter Jamie Gillan has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the third player from the team to be placed on the list.

The Cleveland Browns have previously placed Dontrell Hilliard and Jovante Moffatt on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Now there is a third player that is on the list, punter Jamie Gillan.

Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said he cannot comment on Gillan’s status.

As it was mentioned in regards to Hilliard and Moffatt, players are placed on this list when they test positive or come into contract with someone who is positive.

Gillan spoke with Tom Pelissero and revealed that he tested positive nearly a month ago. There has been a subsequent negative test, but tested positive yet again.

Cleveland already had two players opt out of the season and there could be more if additional players end up on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
