Guardians get three back from COVID protocols
The Cleveland Guardians will have three members of their coaching staff return from COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Terry Francona, DeMarlo Hale, and Justin Toole will be rejoining the team while the only player in COVID-19 protocols, Josh Naylor, will remain away from the team.
After Francona initially entered health and safety protocols it was Hale who was slated to temporarily take the helm. Unfortunately Hale followed Francona with the team being forced to postpone a game and turn to Carl Willis to hold down the fort for the time being. The Guardians would go 1-3 during the four game stretch without a large portion of their coaching staff.
Cleveland will look to get back on track Wednesday (weather permitting) in their final matchup with the Cincinnati Reds.
