Browns to release JC Tretter
The Cleveland Browns have released longtime center JC Tretter. Tretter was going to be in the final of his four-year $26.5 million contract this season with just under a $10 million cap hit. Cleveland will save just over $8.2 million with this move.
With JC Tretter no longer the starting center, all signs point to Nick Harris taking over next season.
Harris has appeared in 23 games (two starts) over two seasons with the Browns. The 23-year old center played very well in the limited amount of time on the field last season (10% of total snaps).
