Browns have no plan and that is a problem

The Cleveland Browns clearly have no plan with their coaching staff and roster. This will prevent the team from truly competing for a long time.

The Cleveland Browns lacking a clear plan is not a surprise to anyone. In fact, it has been the norm for quite some time. Decisions are often made without rhyme or reason and the process used is often flawed.

First let’s discuss Joe Schobert. Apparently the Browns are willing to let him walk in free agency. At least that is what the report is. Accurate or not, this is a terrible team building strategy. Schobert is the best linebacker on the team and is integral to their defense having any sort of success. Letting him walk out the door would be unacceptable at any level.

Next is the process used to evaluate Freddie Kitchens and his future. A complete flawed evalution process and will without a doubt give those in charge an answer based off of false pretenses. If the team wants to continue spinning their tires, this is the way to do it.

Finally is John Dorsey. Dorsey has taken unnecessary risk after unnecessary risk and provided the team with plenty of holes. Decisions like wanting to let Schobert walk is only going to make more. Dorsey has been a master of shortsighted decisions without taking the big picture into account.

There is no plan in Cleveland. The Browns are walking aimlessly into the abyss and have no way out. Even when they make a move that turns out right they are cluttered by blown draft picks and free agent signings that it doesn’t really matter all that much. Want to fix the Browns for real? Put together a long term plan and stick to it.
