Tyler Sikura signs deal with Monsters

The Cleveland Monsters have agreed to a deal with the former Rockford IceHogs forward.

Tyler Sikura is no longer a Rockford IceHog as he has agreed to a deal with the Cleveland Monsters. The team announced the deal Wednesday afternoon. Sikura joins Cleveland after spending the last three seasons with Rockford.

From 2014-2017 Tyler Sikura spent more time in the ECHL than the AHL. Sikura appeared in 107 games for the Toledo Walleye and 8 for the Manchester Monarchs. While in Toledo Sikura totaled 77 points (29 goals, 48 assists) and added 5 (1 goal, 4 assists) in Manchester.

During that time Sikura appeared in 22 games in the AHL with the Springfield Falcons, Portland Pirates, and Iowa Wild. Sikura would not register a point during those early stints in the AHL. It wasn’t until the move to Rockford that Sikura was able to play on a regular basis and tally points. Sikura was Rockford’s points leader last season with 34 (14 goals, 20 assists), ranking second among his teammates in both goals and assists.
