Jose Ramirez, Shane Bieber named All-Stars
The Cleveland Baseball Club third baseman and reigning Cy Young winner were named to the 2021 American League All-Star team.
Two members of the Cleveland Baseball Club have been named to the 2021 American League All-Star team, Jose Ramirez and Shane Bieber. This is the third and second selections to the Mid-Summer Classic respectively.
As of Monday July 5th, Jose Ramirez is slashing .265/.345/.537/ with an OPS of .882. Ramirez has driven in 50 runs thanks to 18 doubles and home runs with one triple. This has led to 132 WRC+ for Ramirez with 2.8 WAR.
Shane Bieber has a 3.28 ERA, 1.246 WHIP, and a league leading 12.9 K/9. Bieber has not pitched since June 13 after suffering an injury which resulted in landing on the injured list. Bieber is the reigning All-Star Game MVP, but is not available to pitch.
