Jedrick Wills Jr. to Browns in mock draft

NFL.com’s Peter Schraeger released his second mock draft and has the Cleveland Browns selecting Alabama offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr.

Jedrick Wills Jr. is not necessarily a common pick for the Cleveland Browns, but Peter Schraeger of NFL.com has them selecting the Alabama offensive tackle 10th overall in his latest mock draft.

Schraeger explained the pick.

Another offensive tackle off the board, and this one is considered a Day 1 starter. Cleveland, still in need of offensive line help even after the Jack Conklin signing, is in a good spot to nab one of the top OTs in this class.

There have been a lot of mock drafts which have Jedrick Wills Jr. going before the 10th overall pick. This has led to selections of Mekhi Becton or even Isaiah Simmons.

The interesting aspect of this particular mock is that only one tackle goes before the Browns are on the clock (Tristan Wirfs goes fourth overall to the Giants). Five more lineman go after Cleveland’s pick which brings the total to seven in the 1st round. This seems to be expectation when it comes to show may lineman go in Round 1.

If this does happen on draft day it could lead to some talented players being available for the Browns in Round 2. If the Browns do go with a tackle at 10, other positions being pushed down would benefit Cleveland greatly.
