The Cleveland Indians were able to come back to win Game 3 and their three game series with the Kansas City Royals by a score of 5-4.

Zach Plesac started Game 3 for the Cleveland Indians and found himself in a bit of trouble early on. Cheslor Cuthbert game Kansas City a quick 1-0 lead after doubling to drive in Hunter Dozier. In the third inning Jorge Soler hit a solo home run to make it 2-0 Royals. Plesac proceded to shut down the Royals over the next few innings. In six innings of work Plesac allowed two runs on four hits while striking out six. Thanks to an offensive surge from the Tribe, Plesac was able to win his fourth game of the season.

Cleveland scored five consecutive runs to give the Indians a 5-2 lead. Francisco Lindor hit a two-run homer to tie the game in the bottom of the third. Jose Ramirez would follow with a solo home run to give Cleveland the lead in the sixth. This was the first team this season that Lindor and Ramirez both homered in the same game. Cleveland continued to add on runs, Kevin Plawecki delivered with an RBI single and then was driven in by Oscar Mercado to make it 5-2.

Nick Goody followed Zach Plesac out of the bullpen and shut down the seventh. Goody struck out one batter in his only inning of the game.

Adam Cimber did not pitch as well as Goody. Cimber allowed one run on three hits while not recording a strikeout.

Brad Hand came on in the ninth for the save. Royals rookie Bubba Starling hit his first career home run to make it a one run game. Luckily Hand was able to strike out Lucas Duda, Cam Gallagher and Whit Merrifield in order to secure the win and his American League leading 27th save.

Cleveland travels to Toronto to take on the Blue Jays in a three game series.
