Guardians sign Sandy Leon to minor league deal
The Cleveland Guardians have brought back a familiar face at catcher.
According to reports, the Cleveland Guardians have brought back veteran catcher Sandy Leon on a minor league deal. Leon could be an option as a backup catcher for the Guardians next season if they are not able to acquire another superior option.
Sandy Leon appeared in 25 games for Cleveland during the 2020 season. Leon did not do much at the plate, slashing just .136/.296/.242 with two home runs and nine hits total.
