Guardians sign Bryan Shaw
Bryan Shaw is back, again. The Guardians have agreed to a major league deal with the franchise leader in relief appearances.
2021 was a triumphant return of sorts for Bryan Shaw. Struggling in three seasons with Colorado and Seattle, Shaw came back to where he was most effective. The 33-year old reliever led all of baseball in appearances with 81 while finishing his season with a 3.49 ERA, 1.384 WHIP, and 8.3 K/9. As long as Shaw is available to pitch you better believe that Terry Francona will be going to back to the well time and time again.
