Guardians option Konnor Pilkington to Triple-A
The Cleveland Guardians have optioned left handed pitcher Konnor Pilkington to the Columbus Clippers their Triple-A affiliate. Pilkington did not make an appearance with the club during his brief stint.
The 24-year old left hander spent all of 2021 in Double-A, splitting time between Birmingham and Akron after being acquired by the Guardians. Pilkington finished the season with a 3.04 ERA, 0.993 WHIP, and 10.7 K/9 in 22 appearances.
As far as who replaces Pilkington in Cleveland is conferenced, the assumption is Josh Naylor who could make his long awaited return after his season ended due to a gruesome injury. If Naylor returns and succeeds it could result in Bobby Bradley being designated for assignment.
