Don’t read too much into tweet from Rashard Higgins

A tweet from the Cleveland Browns wide receiver made some people panic, but there is no need to worry at this moment.

Sometimes all it takes is one seemingly cryptic tweet to send a fanbase into a panic. That is what happened with Cleveland Browns wide receiver Rashard Higgins on Friday. Higgins tweeted “Done doing favors for people” resulting in some fans pushing the panic button.

What those fans apparently were unaware of was that Rashard Higgins was tweeting a Drake lyric from the song Charged Up, released in 2015.

Higgins’ teammate Jarvis Landry would follow up and add the next line of the song in a reply.

For those who are conspiracy minded, I will entertain that right now. This could be a way for Rashard Higgins to publicly discuss contract negations with the Browns in a way that he is saying something, but not really saying something. Everyone loves a cryptic tweet, but if it is masked as a song lyric it is an easy out if called out on. Considering that the Browns and Higgins both have mutual interest, this may not be all that likely. Stranger things have happened, but this does not appear to be the case.
