The Cleveland Browns cornerback is unlikely to play in Week 13.
Kevin Stefanski met with the media on Monday and provided an update on Denzel Ward. Stefanski stated that Ward is unlikely to play in Week 13 and is “week to week”.
Denzel Ward suffered a calf injury following the Browns Week 11 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Through 10 games this season, Ward has defended a career-high 15 passes and has 2 interceptions. Cleveland’s defense truly needs Ward in order to play at an adequate level. The Browns defense had a hard time stopping Mike Glennon this past Sunday as he went 20-35 for 235 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Cleveland is going to be facing some better quarterbacks in the coming weeks. If Denzel Ward continues to miss time it could prove problematic as there simply is not enough talent in the secondary to really stop anyone.
