Dalvin Tomlinson to sign with Browns

The Cleveland Browns have agreed to terms on a four-year deal with the free agent defensive tackle.

Just like that the Browns are on the board. After being connected to multiple defensive linemen that signed with other teams it is their turn to come away on top. Cleveland has agreed to terms with Dalvin Tomlinson on a four-year $57 million deal with $27.5 million guaranteed according to reports.

Dalvin Tomlinson has been a consistent presence on defense over the course of his career, missing just four games (all in 2022). While Tomlinson does not come away with a high volume of sacks (13 in six years), he is able to generate internal pressure with 56 quarterback pressures over last four seasons. The complete lack of quality interior defensive line play has been a recurring issue with the current version of the Browns. Perhaps this is the start of a turnaround of an area that is desperately in need of improvement.
