Cleveland signs Brad Peacock
The Cleveland Baseball Club has agreed to terms with free agent pitcher Brad Peacock on a minor league deal and has been assigned to Triple-A
Finding themselves in need of pitching, the Cleveland Baseball Club has agreed to a minor league deal with free agent pitcher Brad Peacock. The team subsequently assigned Peacock to Triple-A Columbus.
Brad Peacock has spent the majority of his career with the Houston Astros, compiling a 4.08 ERA, 1.307 WHIP, and 9.7 K/9. Peacock only appeared in three games last season for Houston, allowing two runs in just 2.1 innings.
Cleveland has found themselves in need of bodies to eat innings due to multiple injuries in their rotation. While it remains to be seen if Peacock will end up making the big league club, it would not be entirely surprising if that was the case at some point in the near future.
