Cleveland Cavaliers annouce rebrand
The Cleveland Cavaliers have announced that they are rebranding their identity while altering their color scheme just a bit. A hype video released by the team states that “Gold is back”.
Navy will no longer be part of the Cavs color scheme as it has been replaced by the color black. The team did release an official announcement on their site with their “reasons” for the alterations of their brand such as colors, font, and design. These are the new logos, colors, and word marks for the the Cavaliers.
This team was due for a rebrand, but it appears that the Cavaliers did not do anything particularly special here. The Cavs went the safe route by opting for minor changes that are not too drastic. Perhaps when they finally unveil their new uniforms (at a later date) it will make this part of their rebrand look better.
