Cavaliers no match for Dallas in 124-97 loss

The Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the Dallas Mavericks for the second time in three days, extending their losing streak to 10 in a row.

Even change of venue did not lead to a better outcome for the Cleveland Cavaliers. After losing by 20 on Friday in Dallas, the Cavs came home and lost by 27 to the Mavericks, their 10th consecutive loss. The Mavericks were even without Luka Doncic after being ejected in the game and Cleveland lost by a larger margin than just a few days before. At this point it really does not matter who is on the court for their opponent, the Cavs will just end up losing anyway.

Collin Sexton was the Cavaliers leading scorer on the night with 24 points. Sexton went 8 for 19 from the field including 3-5 from three-point range and made 5 of 7 free throws. This is just the latest 10+ miss performance for the third-year guard. While he is more often than not the Cavs leading scorer, more often than not it is a Cleveland loss with a high volume of shot attempts from Sexton.

It was another lackluster performance from Kevin Love as he seems to be mailing it in as of late. Love finished with 8 points, making 1 of 4 three-point attempts and going 2-9 overall. It was just a few games ago that Love did not even attempt a shot. Things appear to be heading into the direction of a divorce, a result that would more than likely benefit both sides.

The Cavaliers will be taking on the Indiana Pacers Monday at 7:30 as the countdown to the end of the season is ramping up.
