Cavaliers look to snap losing streak vs Knicks

The Cleveland Cavaliers have lost their last six home games and are looking to snap their current three-game losing streak against the New York Knicks.

Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse has not been kind to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2020. Their own arena is an issue for the Cavs, imagine that. The RoMoFiHo has caused problems for the Cavs in 2020 because they are yet to win a game at home this decade. They’ve only won one game in 2020 and that was on the road. With Saturday’s loss to Golden State, Cleveland has lost three consecutive games overall. The Cavaliers will look to snap a couple of streaks Monday when they play host to the New York Knicks.

Cleveland has already played New York three times this season, the Cavs are 1-2 in these matchups. Their only win against the Knicks? In New York at Madison Square Garden back in early November. The average score between the Knicks and Cavs this season is a 105.3-99.7 Cleveland loss. Their last game was at the end of January and saw the Cavaliers lose the fifth game in what was a seven-game losing streak.

There could be some distractions for Cleveland tonight. Reports about the team shopping Tristan Thompson and possibly keeping Kevin Love could impact not only their performances, but their teammates as well.

This will be the last game between the Cavaliers and Knicks this season. Both teams are near the bottom of the Eastern Conference at this point in the season and are in a position that they will end up jockeying for draft lottery odds rather than fighting for the playoffs.
