Cavaliers blown out by Wizards 122-93

The Cleveland Cavaliers were unable to snap their losing streak as they were destroyed by the Washington Wizards.

Things just keep getting worse for the Cleveland Cavaliers. After losing their fourth straight game Wednesday, there was a chance to end their losing streak. Unfortunately the Washington Wizards wanted no part of that as they handed the Cavs a near 30-point defeat.

At one point the Cavaliers trailed by 33 points, which is hardly surprising. The Wizards are a team that are clearly better than them and made that quite clear Friday. This particular loss did not come in the fashion as many of the others have as the Wizards only made 8 of 18 three-point attempts. Usually this type of lopsided loss comes on their opponent draining a ton of threes.

Collin Sexton did return to the Cavaliers lineup, scoring 22 points and grabbing 7 rebounds. It was a shooting night that has been a common theme this season as Sexton went 7-19 from the field and 1-6 from deep. It seems to be quite common for Sexton to miss 10 or more shots in these lopsided losses and that is concerning.

The truly surprising aspect of this game is that Kevin Love played 22 minutes and did not attempt a shot. Love finished with 10 rebounds and 1 assist but was apparently not interested in taking any shots in the contest.

The Cavaliers play the second game of a back-to-back Saturday against the Heat.
