After making some final cuts to get down to 53, two potential players the Cleveland Browns could have brought back have found new homes. KhaDarel Hodge was claimed by the Lions while Colby Gossett is headed to the Falcons.

There was some hope that Hodge specifically could have made it the practice squad, but it was not meant to be meaning Cleveland had to adjust their strategy when putting together their initial practice squad. As far as Gossett is concerned, there was little chance that the Browns could have brought him back considering the already existing depth on the offensive line and the strategy the team took with their practice squad players.
