Baker Mayfield shaved his mustache

Cleveland Browns quarterack Baker Mayfield apparently decided that now was the time to shave his mustache as the regular season is fast approaching.

It’s the end of an era. Baker Mayfield has shaved his mustache.

This is not really all that surprising. Mayfield has sported the mustache during his time at Oklahoma and has shaved it before.

This was a bit different in terms of the style, but it was still facial hair that Baker Mayfield had and decided to eventually shave.

For those who prefer facial hair, do not worry! Baker Mayfield is no stranger to growing a beard. Mayfield grew quite the beard last season.

Baker Mayfield is someone who is certainly more than capable of growing facial hair seemingly at will. More facial hair could be on the way sooner rather than later.

Mayfield is not the first quarterback to have a mustache and shave it off. Aaron Rodgers and Joe Flacco have also gone with the mustache for a period before shaving it off.

While the quarterback with facial hair look give some the feel that football season is here, the trim shows that a new season is about to begin. A fresh start. A blank slate for everyone. The teams that are poised to compete are ready to write their story. Shaving off a beard/facial hair just signals that a new NFL season is about to kickoff and that the excitement is only beginning. Baker and the boys are ready to show that they are a legitimate threat in the NFL and fight for the crown in the AFC North.
