Anthony Walker out for season
The Cleveland Browns linebacker suffered a torn quad tendon and will miss the remainder of the season.
Anthony Walker was carted off the field in Thursday’s win over the Steelers and unfortunately he will not return to the field this season. Walker had an MRI on his leg and it revealed a torn left quad tendon.
It was clear at the time that Anthony Walker suffered a serious injury. Walker went down to the ground in an awkward manner and was not able to get up.
This is a significant loss for the Browns defense. Walker led the team in tackles with 113 (69 solo, 44 assisted) last season and was fourth this season with 13. Cleveland’s defense has struggled mightily this season and losing the caliber of player that Walker is will not make things any easier.
