The Cleveland Baseball Club pitcher will miss some time with a finger injury suffered in Monday’s win over the Cubs.
The Cleveland Baseball Club will be without the services of Aaron Civale for the next 4-5 weeks due to a right middle finger sprain. The injury came in Monday’s 4-0 win over the Chicago Cubs.
When Aaron Civale left Monday’s contest, the immediate reaction was not positive. Civale stepped off after his 72nd pitch of the game and was examining his middle finger with the determination that he could not continue. Add in the fact that Civale was seeing a hand specialist and the outlook was not good.
Without Aaron Civale in the rotation Cleveland is down to a group that features Cal Quantrill, J.C. Mejia, and Eli Morgan among others. This is far from the expected rotation this season and even with Cleveland’s surprising success, this will place further pressure on the team to keep winning.
