Shane Bieber and Francisco Lindor carried the Cleveland Baseball Club to a 4-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins Tuesday.
Two of the best players for the Cleveland Baseball Club came through Tuesday which led to their 4-2 win over the Minnesota Twins, Shane Bieber and Francisco Lindor.
Shane Bieber kept doing Shane Bieber things, which means he was racking up the strikeouts. Bieber struck out 10 batters while allowing 2 runs on 4 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings. Bieber’s strikeout total now sits at 75, leading all of baseball. Bieber is currently on a trajectory to win the American League Cy Young Award and maybe, just maybe, the American League MVP.
Francisco Lindor was the other member of the team to make an impact. Down 2-1 in the 6th inning with Jose Ramirez on first, Lindor launched a two-run homer which would give Cleveland the lead for good and secure the win for Bieber.
Francisco Lindor may be coming to life which is good news for Cleveland. Lindor is slashing .351/.429/.595/.1.023 over his last 9 games with 3 doubles and 2 home runs. If Lindor can get hot and stay hot that may help Cleveland turn their offense around.
