The porous Cleveland Browns run defense could be in trouble as they take on a strong Baltimore Ravens rushing attack.
The Cleveland Browns will be facing a very productive Baltimore Ravens rushing attack this week and it is going to be a long day for their defense. Baltimore averages 155.7 yards per game on the ground and it would not be surprising if they meet or exceed this number on Sunday against Cleveland’s unspectacular defense. Considering the fact that Baltimore is the best in run-block win rate and yards before contact with Cleveland being the worst defensively in this area and that poses a big problem.
The Browns defense has been trending in the wrong direction all season with the last three games being a complete disaster. Cleveland has been bulldozed as they have given up 538 yards on the ground, including over 200 yards twice. The Browns rush defense is giving up 131.5 yards per game, the ninth-most in the league. Barring a miracle of sorts it would not be shocking to see this poor defensive unit continue to play at an unacceptable level leading to a fourth consecutive loss and effectively end their season.
