Cavaliers lose at home to Grizzlies 101-91

The shorthanded Cleveland Cavaliers were unable to defeat the visiting Memphis Grizzlies losing by a score of 101-91.

It was another tough test for the Cleveland Cavaliers as they were shorthanded yet again. There was hope that Collin Sexton could return to the lineup, but he was last minute scratch. This left the Cavs with only two active guards, Damyean Dotson and the recently signed Yogi Ferrell. Cleveland tried their best, but it was just too much to overcome.

The Cavaliers actually led after the 1st quarter, but were outscored in the following three quarters. Cleveland did have a lead about midway through the 4th (86-83) and did have a chance to come away with a tough victory. Memphis would outscore the Cavs 18-5 from that point en route to their 101-91 win.

Another strong night for Larry Nance Jr.

The development of Larry Nance Jr. has been impressive to see, taking the step from hometown hero and fan favorite to legitimate impact player. Nance finished with 13 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals in what was his 10th start of the year.

11 straight double-doubles for Andre Drummond

Just a casual 19 points and 14 rebounds for Andre Drummond as he extends his Cavaliers record for consecutive double-doubles to start the season.

This streak just keeps on going and going and going with no end in sight. Considering how many players the Cavs are missing they need scoring and rebounding, luckily Drummond is excelling in both areas this season.

Isaac Okoro finished with career-highs in points and steals

Granted it is extremely early in his career but Cavaliers rookie Isaac Okoro registered career-highs in both points (12) and steals (3).

Okoro was 5-11 from the field including 2-3 from deep. The former Auburn Tiger also had 2 rebounds and 1 assists to round out his performance.

The Cavaliers return to action Tuesday night at 7:30 P.M. as they take on the Utah Jazz.
