The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the veteran defensive lineman.

Ndamukong Suh is staying in Tampa. The reigning Super Bowl champions have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the veteran defensive lineman. Suh’s deal is worth $9 million guaranteed with incentives.

This is just a small part of the roster building process for the Bucs this offseason. Well, it is more roster retention than anything as they have agreed to deals that will keep many of their key players in town. By retaining Ndamukong Suh, Tampa Bay will keep another important player for their defense as they look to repeat next season.

Ndamukong Suh has not missed a game during his two years with the Buccaneers. During that time Suh has compiled 8.5 sacks and 33 quarterback hits. Additionally, Suh has defended 6 passes, recovered 4 fumbles, forced 1 fumble, and scored 2 defensive touchdowns.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are going to be without three players when they take on the Chicago Bulls.

Kevin Love, Matthew Dellavedova, and Taurean Prince will not be available for the Cleveland Cavaliers when they take on the Chicago Bulls Wednesday.

Dellavedova is yet to appear in a game this season for the Cavaliers. Love has only appeared in four games this season, the last being on March 14th. Cleveland has played the last five games without Love and went 2-3 over that stretch. Prince has missed 13 of the last 15 games for the Cavs due to injury or not dressing/playing.

Cavs running out of time for Andre Drummond trade

The Cleveland Cavaliers are running out of time if they are going to facilitate a trade that sends the center elsewhere.

The NBA trade deadline is just a day away and the Cleveland Cavaliers are up against the clock when it comes to Andre Drummond. The team has been attempting to find a trade for Drummond with no luck. Drummond has not appeared in a game since February 12th when the team decided he was no longer going to be part of the team. Considering that most of the talk surrounding Drummond has not been on the trade market, this series of events only looks worse and worse.

Most of the discussions in regards to Andre Drummond is on the buyout market, which would be a complete failure on the part of the Cavaliers. The reason that certain teams are irrelevant and stay irrelevant is that they end up buying out players only for contending teams to scoop them up. There are plenty of teams rumored to be in the Drummond market if/once a buyout happens, but not a lot on the trade market.

Before the Cavs decide to do what seems to be inevitable they need to examine the trade market until the deadline. If they can get something, anything in return for Andre Drummond they should do it. Even if the trade package is bad, it is better than buying a player out and getting literally nothing in return. Time is running out for the Cavs and they need to figure out what they’re doing ASAP. The team decided to tank rather than play someone who not only makes the team more watchable, but better as well.

Cavaliers take on Bulls in Chicago Wednesday

The 16-27 Cleveland Cavaliers begin their four game road trip in Chicago as they take on the 19-23 Chicago Bulls.

Both the Cavaliers and Bulls are coming off losses and are looking for wins to get back into the conversation about the bottom of the playoff picture. Cleveland lost to the Kings by 14 points Monday while the Bulls were blown out by the Jazz by 25. Considering that both teams are not particularly good it could provide an intriguing matchup.

Kevin Love, Matthew Dellavedova, and Taurean Prince will miss Wednesday’s game.

Chicago is scoring and giving up about the same amount of points per game, 113.5 and 113.9 respectively. The Cavaliers do not score as much (104.1), but give up two points less per game on average (111.9). The difference is not bit and in the end should not play a large factor in the final result.

The Bulls are a middle of the pack team when it comes to three-pointers, a bit of a step from the Cavaliers league-lowest numbers in attempts and makes per game. Chicago attempt 34.3 threes per game (18th) and make 13 per game (14th). That’s almost four more makes per game, more than enough to be the difference in the Cavs scoring average.

Zach LaVine leads the Bulls in points (28.2) and assists (4.9) per game. LaVine is clearly the Bulls most potent offensive player and can give opposing teams headaches. Lauri Markkanen and Coby White provide complimentary scoring options for LaVine with 17.7 and 15.2 per game respectively. LaVine is Chicago’s assist leader, but there are several players in the four assist range. Tomas Satoransky with 4.8, White with 4.7, and Thaddeus Young with 4.4 per game. The Bulls have plenty of players who can find their teammates for open baskets and that can prove problematic for the Cavaliers defense.

The game is scheduled to tip-off in Chicago at 8:00 P.M.
