Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb has been placed in concussion protocol after leaving Monday’s practice early.

Once the news came out that Nick Chubb was being evaluated for a concussion Monday this seemed to be inevitable. Nick Chubb has been placed in concussion protocol per reports.

This obviously kept Chubb out of practice Tuesday. Chubb was hit high by linebacker Mack Wilson, but he was able to walk off under his own power.

Cleveland will have to monitor Chubb and his progress to ensure he can return to the practice field safely. Once Chubb does return it will allow Cleveland to work with their best skill position players on offense as they prepare for the 2020 season.

Kevin Love states Tristan Thompson is No. 1 priority

Kevin Love tweeted that Tristan Thompson should be a number one priority for the Cleveland Cavaliers this offseason.

There is no doubting that the veterans on the Cleveland Cavaliers are close. Kevin Love confirmed that with a tweet Tuesday morning, stating his support for Tristan Thompson staying in Cleveland .

Love says that Thompson should be the number one priority and that he is a leader.

Larry Nance Jr. doubled down on what Love said and added some input of his own.

A player like Tristan Thompson can make a huge impact for any team. Thompson is not the highlight reel that others are in the league, but not many big men like him are. Tristan Thompson can change the game with his effort on the boards offensively and defensively.

If Cleveland were to bring back Tristan Thompson it would require a juggling act of sorts with the rest of the roster. In addition to Thompson, Love, and Nance there is also Andre Drummond. That is a lot of big men on just one team and not just ordinary big men, big men who can make sizable contributions and help teams become contenders. If all of them can buy in to what JB Bickerstaff wants to do and have a four man rotation at the power forward and center position it could work out nicely. If at any point things are not working they would need to move at least one player to try and provide a bit more clarity in that area.

Cleveland travels to Pittsburgh to face Pirates

The Cleveland Baseball Club will continue their road trip as they will travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates in a three game series.

Cleveland had a day off after completing their sweep of the Detroit Tigers and will now face the Pirates in Pittsburgh.

Carlos Carrasco will take the mound for Cleveland and he has only faced one hitter in the Pirates lineup before, Jarrod Dyson. Carrasco has limited Dyson to 4 hits, all singles and has struck him out 5 times. Cookie will look to bounce back after a lackluster outing against the Cubs last week. Carrasco allowed 3 runs in 4.1 innings and walked 5 batters. Luckily the Pirates are not the same quality of team as the Cubs so there is some hope he can last a bit longer and allow fewer runs.

JT Brubaker will start for Pittsburgh and this will be his second career start. Brubaker has pitched a total of 8 innings in his 3 appearances this season, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits and 3 walks while striking out 9. Brubaker will have a tough time navigating a lineup that is starting to get hot. Franmil Reyes has been on an absolute tear, going 10-18 with 1 double and 3 home runs in his last five games. Reyes heating up has certainly been a welcome sight for Cleveland as he struggled out of the gate. Cleveland will lean on Reyes until some of the other bats in the lineup start pulling their weight, facing Pittsburgh this week will give some of the other batters in the lineup a chance to heat up.

Tuesday’s game is scheduled to start at 7:05 P.M.

Fernando Tatis Jr. triggers unwritten rules nonsense

Padres shorstop Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a late grand slam on a 3-0 pitch in a lopsided win which triggered a discussion about unwritten rules.

The San Diego Padres defeated the Texas Rangers 14-4 Monday and it was capped off by a Fernando Tatis Jr. grand slam. Tatis swung away on a 3-0 pitch in the 8th inning to drive in the final four runs for the Padres.

Tatis connecting on this pitch and hitting a grand slam apparently made the Rangers mad and this triggered the whole nonsense conversation about unwritten rules.

Here’s the deal, you can take those unwritten rules and throw them right in the garbage. Don’t want to give up a grand slam on a 3-0 pitch? Don’t throw the fourth pitch in the strike zone. Better yet, don’t let the bases become loaded in the first place.

The batter has every right to swing with the bases loaded up by a ton of runs. Pour on the runs every chance you can to make it impossible for the other team to come back.

Also it is worth noting that for a team so concerned with unwritten rules and sportsmanship they had zero problem throwing behind Manny Machado in the next at-at.

Texas needs to figure out just what side they are on, because actions like this do not help their case. Acting like a child does not promote anything positive and that is what happened when Machado was thrown at.

Fernando Tatis Jr. needs to do one thing and one thing only. Swing away and do not concern yourself with archaic unwritten rules that are only championed by those who are completely out of touch with reality.

The new Tune Squad jersey for the upcoming movie Space Jam A New Legacy was revealed and it is a complete disappointment.

If you had high expectations for SpaceJam A New Legacy it is now time to lower them just a bit. The new Tune Squad jersey was revealed and it is completely awful.

LeBron James modeled the jersey in a clip posted on the Uninterrupted twitter account.

Why are there graphics that are off center? What is this weird font? This design is a complete failure and an embarrassment to the original movie. The Ringer posted both versions of the jersey side by side, asking which jersey was better.

The answer is obvious, the classic white jersey worn by Michael Jordan in the original film wins by a mile.
