Yahoo’s Edholm has Browns taking tackle, safety

Yahoo Sports NFL Draft analyst Eric Edholm released his latest mock draft and has the Cleveland Browns addresing their offensive line and secondary.

It is no secret that the Cleveland Browns need help on their offensive line and in their defensive backfield. Yahoo Sports NFL Draft analyst Eric Edholm knows this and that is why he has Cleveland addressing those two positions in the first two rounds of the upcoming draft.

With the 10th pick Edholm has the Browns taking Mekhi Becton out of Louisville. Pretty easy reasoning with this one. Greg Robinson and Chris Hubbard both need to be replaced and drafting Becton could help in that regard. Edholm only has one tackle going ahead of Becton, Jedrick Wills Jr. to the New York Giants at four. Popular mock draft selection Tristan Wirfs goes one pick after Cleveland to the Jets.

It also seems very likely that the Browns take a safety in the draft and it is very possible that it is with the 41st pick. Ashtyn Davis has been getting plenty of traction here, but he is not the pick for Edholm. Edholm has the Browns selecting Minnesota’s Antoine Winfield Jr. Now this may be a bit high for Winfield, there are lot of mock drafts out there with Winfield going later in the draft. Things could very well change regarding to the stock of both players, but this pick is interesting to say the least. Either way Cleveland needs to find a replacement for Damarious Randall who seems likely to move on in free agency.
