Vandalized Marcus Rashford mural repaired

A mural depicting the Manchester United star was vandalized following his missed penalty in England’s loss to Italy in the Euro 2020 Final.

Emotions can run high during international competitions, but that is not an excuse to deface a mural of a player that missed a crucial penalty kick. Unfortunately someone did not agree with the previous statement as a mural of Marcus Rashford was vandalized following England’s loss to Italy on penalty kicks in the Euro 2020 Final. Rashford missed a penalty during the penalty kick shootout after the conclusion of extra-time which apparently was enough for this individual to decide to deface a mural with Rashford’s image.

The mural has since been repaired by a local artist.

Defacing murals or sending hateful messages to players following a loss is not an appropriate reaction. At the end of the day it is just a game and acting in this manner will never be acceptable.
