Terry Francona will not manage team vs. Twins

Cleveland Baseball Club manager Terry Francona will not be managing the team during their upcoming series with the Minnesota Twins.

The return of Terry Francona will have to wait a little longer. The Cleveland Baseball Club manager will not manage team as they play their series against the Minnesota Twins. Sandy Alomar Jr. will continue to manage the team in his absence.

Mandy Bell would add that Francona’s status for the upcoming road trip is unknown at this time.

Francona underwent a medical procedure on August 21st which led to his absence this past weekend.

So far Francona has missed 15 games (18 after the Twins series) this season.

It is a fair question to ask if Terry Francona will return this season considering how much time he has missed already, will continue to miss, and the fact he is high-risk. Only time will tell when/if Francona returns to the Cleveland dugout.
