A familiar face will remain in the secondary of the Cleveland Browns as Ronnie Harrison has singed a one-year deal.
As the offseason began it was unlikely that Ronnie Harrison would be back in Cleveland. The Browns currently have John Johnson and Grant Delpit as their starting safeties. Harrison would be fighting for playing time if he stayed in Cleveland. With the free agent market drying up, returning to Cleveland for one more year to build value was a wise move for Harrison.
Coming to Cleveland from Jacksonville via trade prior to the 2020 season, Harrison has appeared in 23 games (18 starts) with 96 tackles, 10 pass defenses, two interceptions, two sacks, and one fumble recovery. Harrison saw an uptick in play last season, increasing his snap count percentage from 43 to 75. With Johnson and Delpit presumably being the main two safeties on the roster, Harrison can be productive in a part-time role.
