The Cleveland Monsters will be playing in the AHL Central Division for the 2020-21 season.
There were several hurdles when making the divisions for the upcoming AHL season and that led to some temporary realignment. The Cleveland Monsters will be playing in the Central Division for the upcoming season.
The members of the central division include the Cleveland Monsters, Chicago Wolves, Grand Rapids Griffins, Iowa Wild, Rockford IceHogs, and Texas Stars. Cleveland is the only non-Central team to be playing in the division for this season as they usually play in the North Division. Three teams usually in the division will not be a part of the Central for 2021. The Manitoba Moose and Henderson Silver Knights will be playing in different divisions for the upcoming season while the Milwaukee Admirals have opted out of the season.
The season is scheduled to start February 5, 2021.
