The Cleveland Monsters are looking to win their second consecutive games against the Texas Stars in their second of three games.
Thursday night provided a great start for the Cleveland Monsters who are hosting the Texas Stars for three games in four days. The Monsters came away with a 3-1 win and sent the Cleveland crowd home happy. Now Cleveland will look to continue the winning ways against Texas Saturday night.
Two goals from Tyler Angle and a goal from Adam Clendening led the Monsters last time out while goaltender Brad Thiessen had a nice bounce back performance in net. Cleveland will be looking for a repeat performance as Texas did not perform up to their season scoring average. The Stars averages 3.6 goals per game, which would have been enough to defeat the Monsters Thursday is partial goals were a thing. Texas’ defense performed as expected as they allow 3.3 goals per game, just a bit more than Cleveland’s 3 scored on Thursday.
The point, goal, and assist leaders for the Stars remain unchanged from the other day. Adam Mascherin and Riley Daminai lead in points with 17 each. Mascherin leads in goals with 8 with Damiani leading in assists with 11.
