Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love is questionable for Wednesday’s home game when the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Atlanta Hawks.
That losing streak at home may continue for just a bit longer. Kevin Love is questionable for Wednesday’s game against Atlanta per reports.
With Wednesday being the final game before the All-Star break, Kevin Love could very well be held out of the game. While it is only Achilles soreness, it is best to not to take the risk and have a much more serious injury occur.
The Cavaliers are not contending this season and may be more interested in looking out for his longterm health. While ending this embarrassing losing streak at home would be nice, there are more important things to concern themselves with.
If Kevin Love were to miss Wednesday’s game the logical option to replace him in the starting lineup is Larry Nance Jr. Andre Drummond is the Cavs starting center and slotting Tristan Thompson next to him would not make a whole lot of sense. Nance and Drummond is a better combination over Thompson and Drummond as it will allow the offense to spread out a bit more. A concept that would be best for the Cavs young point guards and wing players.
Cleveland has not won a home game since December 23rd. The Cavs last attempt at ending this streak occurred on Sunday. The loss being the worst at home in franchise history.
