Josh Gordon re-signs with Seahawks

Former Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon has re-signed with the Seattle Seahawks on a one-year deal.

Josh Gordon is returning to the Seattle Seahawks on a one-year deal.

Gordon is still waiting to be re-instated by the NFL due to a violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy, but once he is back he will be playing for the Seahawks. Gordon was traded to Seattle after spending the beginning of the year with the Patriots, catching 7 passes for 139 yards.

Josh Gordon was a second round selection by the Cleveland Browns in the 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft. Gordon spent a tumultuous 5 years in Cleveland where a substantial amount of games were missed due to substance abuse violations. The highlight of his career was the 2013 season which saw the talented, but troubled wide receiver finish with 87 receptions for 1.,646 yards and 9 touchdowns. Perhaps re-signing with a stable franchise like the Seahawks can help Gordon stay on the right path and remain on the field to revitalize a once promising career.
