The Buffalo Bills quarterback started off his hopeful MVP campaign with an incredible performance against the Los Angeles Rams.
Josh Allen was more than ready to take on the reigning Super Bowl Champion Los Angeles Rams Thursday night. Allen completed 26 of 31 passes for 297 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions in addition to rushing for 56 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries in Buffalo’s 21-point victory. This performance was not only impressive, it made NFL history. Allen is the first quarterback in the NFL history to have more than 250 passing yards, 50 rushing yards, throw for three touchdowns, rush for another, complete more than 80% of his pass attempts while winning the game.
This is an impressive accomplishment for Josh Allen and the beginning of his potential MVP run. Being the quarterback to set the proverbial standard for all other quarterbacks to meet the rest of the weekend usually results in being the favorite for the first month or so. That is unless someone else meets or eclipses this cherry picked group of statistics that resulted in history being made.
