Jose Ramirez fourth in AL 3B All-Star voting

The Cleveland Baseball Club third baseman is currently fourth in All-Star Game voting for American League third basemen.

Jose Ramirez is in a distant fourth place in All-Star Game voting for American League third basemen. While it is only one spot being Houston’s Alex Bregman, he trails third place by 55,000 votes.

There is no doubting that Jose Ramirez is someone who should be considered for the All-Star Game. Ramirez is one of the best third basemen in all of baseball and is definitely on the short list of best players in baseball. Ramirez is slashing .270/.354/.532/.887 with 14 home runs, 14 doubles, and 36 RBI. Additionally Ramirez has a WRC+ of 136 this season in 62 games this season.

While Jose Ramirez is one of the best players in the league at his position, he will have a tough time climbing up the voting list. This is not due to his ability or performance, but the already sizable margin and the markets of those players (Boston, Chicago, Houston).

Two other Cleveland players appear on the list as Cesar Hernandez and Franmil Reyes are both 10th in voting for their respective positions.
