Joe Haden to retire with Browns

The Former Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback has decided to retire.

After 12 seasons Joe Haden has decided to call it a career. According to Haden’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, the former Browns and Steelers corner will sign a one day contract with Cleveland to officially retire as a Brown. An official ceremony will take place later this season.

Joe Haden was drafted seventh overall by the Browns in 2010 during one of the extended dark periods for the franchise. The former Florida Gator is one of the better draft selections for Cleveland during the expansion era. Haden intercepted 19 passes in seven seasons in Cleveland, including one returned for touchdown in 2013. After the rather ugly divorce from the Browns in 2017 Haden continued his career with in Pittsburgh for another five years. Now that his career is coming to an end it is fitting that everything comes full circle by signing with the Browns the week they play Pittsburgh.
