Jadeveon Clowney hopes to play Sunday

The Cleveland Browns defensive end is still hoping to play this weekend against Los Angeles.

Jadeveon Clowney has missed the past two games with an ankle injury and his absence was felt in the loss to Atlanta. As this week’s game approaches the former number one overall pick is still not present during the open portion of practice.

Even though Clowney did not participate during the open portion he still has hopes to play against the Chargers.

The Browns defense are going to need Jadeveon Clowney in addition to Myles Garrett if they are going to have any chance of slowing down the Chargers offense. Justin Herbert currently leads the NFL in passing and being sacked only four times has played a factor. It will be up to Cleveland’s defensive front to pressure Herbert and disrupt his rhythm. Having Clowney and Garrett will go a long way towards accomplishing just that.
