Guardians reach settlement with Guardians

The Cleveland Guardians baseball team have reached an agreement with the Cleveland Guardians roller derby team.

After what could have been an even more embarrassing debacle, the Cleveland Guardians of  Major League Baseball have reached a settlement with the roller derby outfit in town.

This comes after a lawsuit from the roller derby team and reports that the baseball club offered a low dollar amount to use the name.

Earlier this week there was some skepticism after Guardians merchandise was supposed to go on sale and delayed at the last moment. After reaching the deal with the roller derby team, merchandise will apparently be available next week.

While the poorly handled name change appears to have been resolved the team still awaits to have their lease extension approved through the proper channels, the last obstacle to clear what has been a tumultuous season for those in charge of the franchise.
